Casey Love Sculpting & Painting Classes

Casey Love has been a creature designer in film for the last 10 years. He has worked on over 20 films in that time. Most notable MIB 3, Predators, AVP Requiem, X-Men Origins (Wolverine), Resident Evil Extinction, Race to Witch Mountain, and the up coming prequel to The Thing. Casey has worked with FX studios such as Rick Baker's Cinovation Studios, Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruf Jr. at Amalgamated Dynamic Inc., Greg Nicotaro and Howard Burger's KNB FX, and Patrick Tatopoulos Studios. Classes will be taught and held at Casey Love's Studio.

Making Monsters

with SPFX artist and creature designer Casey Love

Demonstration Course - One time fee - $200

Come learn the art of Making Monsters with SPFX artist and creature designer Casey Love. Casey is happy to put together a unique set of six class demo sessions that will demonstrate the art of creature design. These classes are held at Casey's studio and you will see first hand how casey approaches creature sketching , armature making, sculpting, painting, molding, casting, seaming and much much more. It is these specific kind of classes that really help the beginner, amateur or professional artist to better understand the design process and help jump start or get them to the next level in their own work's. 

Don't pass up this very rare opportunity to take part in these classes. Each class will run every Saturday starting May 19th 2012. It is a five week course held every Saturday from 10 am - 3:30 pm. Limited to 15 students only.

Creature Design Painting Classes

with SPFX artist and creature designer Casey Love

Painting Class - One time fee - $450

Learn the art of creature design/ painting from one of the best painters working in the Fx industry today. In this course Casey will demonstrate painting techniques such as human eyes, creature eyes, alien eyes as well as mottling techniques like veining, patterns and translucent painting techniques for both opaque skin and translucent skin on resin model kits, washes, dry brushing techniques, Color theory and mixing colors, using pearlescent's and shimmering colors for effects on skin as well as much much more.

This class is held every Sunday. Each student will be provided a resin bust to work on that comes included in the class cost. Starting May 20th - June 17th and is held every Sunday for five Sundays at 5 hours.
Class is from 10 am - 3:30 pm with a half hour lunch break. This course runs $450.00 and seating is limited to 10 students only. Each student must have an airbrush and compressor, various brushes and FW or badger air opaque aryclic inks. A basic set of colors is all that is required. Blue, red, White , black, green, Yellow. But you can bring more coors if you would like. I recommend purchasing these paints from Carter Sexton or Dick Blick art suppliers.

Directions to the studio and a course supply list will be provided after classes are reserved.

Students attending the Creature Painting Class must provide their own air brush, compressor, and paints.

REFUND POLICY:

We do not offer refunds on any classes due to limited seating. The balance can be applied to classes at a later date or towards the products in the Casey Love Design’s Store.
